On The Tracks Songwriter Showcase Songwriter showcase for outstanding regional and national touring songwriters. Takes place the first Wednesday of the month from Sept - May.

An unquenchable thirst for great songwriting combined with a love for the vessels who bring them to life – the songwriters – is the driving force behind ON THE TRACKS Songwriter Showcase. It was founded to bring our favorite writers to Chelsea, Michigan (our home town) by providing a venue to showcase their incredible gifts. What makes this series unique is our focus on the songwriting. Our featur

ed performers will be sharing insight into their inspirations and methods, the practical and magical process by which their songs come to life. You’ll hear lots of great songs of course, but you’ll also learn a little something about the art and craft of songwriting. ON THE TRACKS will have its premier showcase on Wednesday, September 5th and will run the first Wednesday of the month through May. It will be held at the beautifully renovated, historic Chelsea Depot at 125 Jackson St in downtown Chelsea. Concerts will run from 7pm to 9pm. It is our hope that with the help of generous local support, great marketing and of course, a growing audience, this series will continue on for years to come.

Our Story

It was founded to bring our favorite writers to Chelsea, Michigan (our home town) by providing a venue to showcase their incredible gifts. What makes this series unique is our focus on the songwriting. Our featured performers will often be sharing insight into their inspirations and methods, the practical and magical process by which their songs come to life. You’ll hear lots of great songs of course, but you’ll also learn a little something about the art and craft of songwriting. Going forward we’ll be presenting occasional Master Class style workshops with some of the best in the industry. ON THE TRACKS had its premier showcase on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Since then we’ve been running 9 shows a year on the first Wednesday of from September through May. Held at the beautifully renovated, historic Chelsea Depot at 125 Jackson St in downtown Chelsea, our concerts will run from 7pm to 9pm. With the help of generous local support, amazing talent and a constantly growing audience this series will continue on for years to come.
