💐🖼️ Help Us Build a Wall of Love 💐🖼️

Did you know…? 💐

Benny’s is the oldest flower shop in Lewis county and neighboring counties… Our designers today are still creating bouquets in the exact same spot where this flower shop first opened its doors around 1901. 📍

From the Birleys era to Benny’s today, over a century of floral design has unfolded right here one wedding, one bouquet, one love story at a time.

To honor that legacy, we’re building a mural style photo wall of bridal bouquets from every decade from the 1940s to now. If you or someone you love carried a bouquet from our shop, we’d be honored to include it. If you know anybody who has photos from Birley’s we would love them as well… we know it’s a long shot but worth a try.

📸 Whether it’s a black and white photo from the ‘40s or a modern day snapshot, send it our way. Let’s fill this wall with love, memories, and a blooming tribute to the brides who made us part of their story.

Each bloom a chapter, a memory, a moment shared.

We had the honor of designing this rose filled vase arrangement to celebrate a love story five decades strong. Thoughtful. Timeless. Deeply rooted just like the couple it was made for.

Here’s to 50 years of commitment, laughter, and choosing each other every single day.

This is Mckale
Are newest employee… but she won’t be with us much longer 😭🤧 because…

Mckale goes to Gonzaga university in Spokane and will be heading back soon to start her junior year. Where she will be continuing achieving her music education and sacred music double major. 🎶

Mckale’s favorites :
▪️Favorite flower - any type of daisy
▪️Coffee or tea - coffee(specifically cold brew)
▪️Favorite part about working at Benny’s ?
I love handing arrangements to people and getting to see how they brighten their day.
▪️ First thing you do when you walk into the shop?
Every morning after I set my bag in the break room I check the computer to see what orders we have for the day, and then check the cooler for any morning-specific orders! If there’s nothing pressing, I ask what would be most helpful in that moment and do that 🙂

▪️ Favorite Music/Song: I’m not completely sure, but I think I’d love my “walk-up song” to be You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon

▪️Favorite ColorPalette to work with: My favorite color is yellow, so I love working with that and anything that goes with it usually whites or pinks, sometimes wine red or red/orange accents.

▪️ Fun Fact about Mckale : I reaaaalllyyy like dinosaurs. In another life I’m a paleontologist. Ask me about them anytime 🙂

▪️What’s your plans after college?
After college I’m hoping to get my masters degree in teaching, and endorsements in English and/or art (I like school). I’d like to teach high school, I think, but I would also love to travel, make music, and make art, so I suppose I’m still kind of waiting to see where the wind takes me!

We’re honored. Truly.
Winning the KMNT Listeners’ Choice Award again this year means more than I can put into words because it comes from you.

Running a small business like Benny’s isn’t just flowers and pretty pictures.
It’s early mornings when you’re already exhausted.
It’s late nights wondering if you’re doing enough.
It’s constant decision making, pressure, and pouring everything you have into something that doesn’t come with guarantees.
It’s missing moments with my family because my dream sometimes demands more than I have to give. My three children who miss time with me because I’m trying to build something I hope will matter .

Thank you to my absolute amazing crew the ones who carry the weight beside me, who show up on the hard days, who care just as deeply. My husband who quietly does a thousand things behind the scenes and never asks for credit.

To feel that kind of support from our community… it means everything.❤️

We just picked these up from a local artist in Centralia , Wa !!!

They are handmade with alpaca fiber over wire armatures using needle felting and wet felting techniques. So cute right!!! Come in and check them out !!

This local artist not only creates adorable pieces she also grows and dries the flowers we love to buy from her.

This time, we grabbed some of her unscented potpourri. You can add your own essential oils or leave it as-is.

Pop it in a cute container and display it on your dining table, in the bathroom, or anywhere that needs a little charm.

Let your little artist bloom! In this fun and relaxed kids’ paint class, we’ll be painting bright, happy sunflowers perfect for summer. All supplies are included, and no experience is needed. Our team had the sweetest time visiting the Boys & Girls Club earlier this week and we brought along a special guest: Benny the Bee! 🐝

We talked to the kids about what it’s like to be a florist how we make flower arrangements, help people celebrate special days, and even what it’s like running a flower shop. The kids asked great questions, and Benny definitely stole the show (as always).

Being a part of this community means everything to us. It’s not just about flowers it’s about connection, creativity, and giving back whenever we can.

Thank you to the Boys & Girls Club for having us we loved every minute of it! 💛🌼

At Benny’s Florist, no flower goes to waste.
When our blooms have passed their prime for retail, we don’t toss them we give them new purpose. 🌸✨

Our older flowers go to local assisted living homes, where they’re used in flower themed art classes that spark creativity, joy, and connection.

These photos were shared with us and we have permission to share so why not share.

Photos are from the Woodland Village Assisted living and Retirement Center.
They started an art class at the Center at the beginning of the year and have been taking our older flowers so they can be used to create beautiful creations.

Because kindness should never wilt and beauty doesn’t have an expiration date. 💐♥️

Also a little birdie 🐦 told me that one of our very own Benny’s employee will be the new art instructor over there very soon……………. So cool!!!
