🌿✨ End of the Growing Season Update ✨🌿

As the growing season begins to wind down, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported Pomona Botanicals this season. Whether you purchased a plant, stopped by a plant stand, followed my page, or shared a post—it truly means the world to me. 💚
While I'll be slowing down on regular inventory, I'm still available for special requests, so if there's a particular herb, flower, or vegetable you're looking for, don't hesitate to reach out!
During the off-season, I'll be working behind the scenes to make Pomona Botanicals even better by: 🌱 Investing in new equipment and supplies 🌿 Improving my growing space 📅 Planning more precise planting and transplanting rotations so I can keep plants available more consistently throughout the season 📱 Growing my social media presence with more educational content, garden updates, and hopefully even videos!
This first season has been an incredible learning experience, and I'm excited to use what I've learned to come back even stronger next year.
Thank you again for being part of this journey. I can't wait to show you what's growing next.
See you in the garden! 🌼

🦗🌿 Garden Helpers: Praying Mantis 🌿🦗
One of nature's most fascinating garden predators has started hatching! 🌱
Praying mantis are beneficial insects that help control many common garden pests by feeding on flies, moths, aphids, and other insects. They're a natural part of a healthy garden ecosystem and require no sprays or chemicals to do their job.
Mantids begin life as tiny hatchlings, often emerging from a single egg case in large numbers. As they grow, they'll spread throughout the garden in search of food and shelter. 🌿
While they're excellent hunters, they're also opportunistic and will eat both pest insects and beneficial insects if given the chance. That's just nature doing what it does best.
Have you ever spotted a praying mantis in your garden? 💚

🌸 Pollinator Appreciation
Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators help many flowers, fruits, and vegetables produce their best harvests.
A pollinator-friendly garden benefits everyone. 🐝

🌱 What Is Root Bound?
When roots run out of room in a container, they begin circling the pot.
Signs include: 🍃 Slow growth 💧 Frequent drying out 🪴 Roots visible from drainage holes
That's usually a sign it's time to transplant.

Don't forget to cover or bring frost sensitive plants inside tonight and the next couple nights! Overnight temperatures of 33°F - 39°F can cause frost. Would hate for those that planted last week to lose their babies!
