Something new is coming to JT Ranch… and I couldn’t be more excited.

The Connection Project is a series of experiences designed to create deeper connection through faith, horses, and meaningful conversations. Our very first event is:

The Trail Between Us
A Day for Moms, Daughters & Horses
📅 Saturday, June 27
🕘 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 JT Ranch | Chattaroy, WA

This day is for moms and daughters (ages 10+) who want to slow down, reconnect, laugh, learn, and create memories together. Through horses, hands-on activities, guided conversations, faith-based reflection, and time away from the busyness of life, you’ll leave with a stronger connection to each other and to yourself.

No horse experience is needed.

Breakfast snacks and lunch are included, and professional photos will be available for purchase.

💲$350 per pair

Spots are limited because we want to keep this experience personal and meaningful.

It’s been a full weekend of fun!!! One of our students had her 9th birthday party with some friends and enjoyed showcasing her recently-acquired first horse. We then had a local Girl Scout troop come to work on their horsemanship badge. The girls had never ridden before and had a blast learning to tack up their horses and even do some trotting!

Sam’s daughter, Violet, competed in our 2026 Buckle series and won the buckle!! Here’s what he had to say:

“The Buckle series was a great first introduction to competition riding for our daughter. Having the clinics and training with the same people and horses she was competing with took out a lot of stress. One of best things to watch was how much all of the participants supported and coached each other during the clinics and at each show. Working with the same horse for the whole series really let her focus on improving her skills and made it easier to see that improvement in action. We saw a huge difference in her skills from the first show to the final one. Huge thanks to JT for hosting this series! “- Sam B

When your horse is in training JT Ranch you get riding lessons as well as instruction. Often horses go home from training and you have no idea what they’ve been doing in training. We like to send our training horses home to be used so it’s important their owners have the skills. This is a 4 year old who had some issues around his feet and legs and big flight issue. So she is learning to pony him so when she’s home she can do this with him to help him be more settled in new environments until he’s fully trained. We have openings - Call Jim at +1 (509) 760-3930.

Parent tip Tuesday: Parents, don’t let your dreams just stay dreams!

Sometimes we see parents longing to join at the edge of the arena, fearing it’s too late for them to join this world. Parents, there is room for everyone on the horse world! Giving your kiddos the opportunity for horses is such a gift that not everyone has been lucky enough to enjoy. Remember, you count too! Don’t sit at the fence and sideline your dreams. There’s room for everyone in this arena!
