This spring, my team and I had the opportunity to photograph one of Blackberry Ridge’s beautiful open houses in Trenton, Georgia. Every detail brought the venue to life: colorful tablescapes inside the iconic conservatory, soft lounge seating overlooking the lake, fresh citrus accents, live music, and spaces designed to invite guests to slow down and enjoy every moment.

During our visit, we were also introduced to Blackberry Village, an intimate micro-wedding venue featuring a lakeside dock, romantic garden, and charming European-style cottages. Together, Blackberry Ridge and Blackberry Village offer couples two distinct ways to celebrate, both filled with timeless beauty and thoughtful Southern hospitality.

From the first welcome to the final farewell, everything feels seamless, elevated, and intentional, but what impressed us the most was the hospitality. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and I wish every couple searching for a North Georgia wedding venue could experience a tour for that reason alone.

Sela + Jay’s summertime wedding at The Currahee Club in Toccoa, Georgia, was the summer kickoff celebration we all needed. Nestled along Lake Hartwell near the Georgia–South Carolina border, their day was filled with love, Southern charm, and plenty of UGA spirit 📣Go Dawgs! ❤️🖤

This wasn’t simply a wedding; it was an experience thoughtfully created for everyone they love. Live artist Lexi Brite beautifully painted couples throughout the evening, giving guests a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home. Custom bandannas became a staple on the dance floor, while a barista filled the air with the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Even their signature cocktails were carefully chosen to reflect Sela and Jay’s individual personalities. 🍸

Every detail invited their friends and family to become part of the celebration. 🪩 The dance floor never stopped, laughter filled the room, and everywhere you looked, people were fully present and enjoying the moment.

One of my favorite things about photographing a wedding 📸 is the experience woven throughout the day. The thoughtful details, meaningful interactions, and stolen glances all come together to tell a story that belongs entirely to the couple.

Sela + Jay’s Currahee Club wedding was joyful, intentional, and unmistakably theirs, the perfect beginning to summer and an unforgettable celebration along Lake Hartwell.

Whoever said fairytales end at “happily ever after” clearly never met Reanna + Clay. ✨ Reanna has a certain Disney-princess magic about her, the kind that makes flowing dresses, flower-filled gardens, and grand estates seem as though they were simply made for her. And Clay? He is every bit her Prince Charming. One year after saying “I do,” we stepped into the gardens of the Biltmore Estate to celebrate the beautiful life they’re building on the other side of once upon a time.

One of the very first conversations Reanna and I had was about her love for the Biltmore. She dreamed of having photos taken among its gardens, but when we planned their engagement session, we were right in the middle of that fall-to-winter transition and the gardens weren’t quite what she had envisioned.

I tucked that little dream away, hoping one day we could bring it to life.

And one year later… we did. 🤍

Tucked away in the small town of Rockmart, Georgia, In the Woods feels like stepping straight into a fairytale. Set across 250 acres, surrounded by towering trees, peaceful water views, and tucked away from the noise of the city, it’s the kind of place that makes the rest of the world feel miles away.

It’s easy to see why Jessica + Ryan chose this beautiful property for their wedding day. From the winding paths through the woods and gorgeous lake views to the breathtaking open-air chapel, separate bridal and groom suites, and a private honeymoon suite for the newlyweds, every part of the property feels intentionally created for a wedding experience.

This fall, Jessica + Ryan will return here to begin their next chapter together, surrounded by the changing leaves, the people they love most, and the quiet beauty of the woods. 🍂🤍 I can already imagine how magical this property will feel as summer gives way to fall.

Color isn’t just a detail… it helps tell the story of your wedding day. 🌸🍊🌿

Emily + Clay’s spring garden wedding was the perfect example of what happens when a couple fully embraces their vision. Every detail felt intentional, joyful, and completely connected to the season.

Vibrant spring florals filled the day with shades of coral, yellow, orange, pink, and blue. Garden-inspired lounge furniture created inviting spaces for guests to gather. Floral fans, colorful tablescapes, specialty cocktails, and even the smallest details carried their aesthetic throughout the celebration.

But one of my favorite parts? Their guests understood the assignment. 💐

Everyone arrived in beautiful garden-inspired attire, adding another layer of color and personality to the day. Instead of simply attending the wedding, their guests became part of the atmosphere Emily + Clay had created.

And you could feel it.

From the ceremony to cocktail hour and all the way into the reception, the entire day had this bright, playful energy that felt like spring had officially arrived. 🥂

When you’re planning your wedding, your color palette and aesthetic can be so much more than choosing pretty colors. Whether you’re in the beginning stages of planning your wedding or putting together those final details, you may find yourself wondering…

“Do we share a private first look and vows, or save it all for that unforgettable moment down the aisle? “🤍

The beautiful thing is, there truly isn’t a wrong choice.

A first look and private vows give you something incredibly special, a few quiet moments that belong only to the two of you. A chance to slow down, hold each other close, speak the words on your hearts, and be fully present before the rest of the day unfolds. The nervous laughter, happy tears, long hugs, and little glances in between are some of the sweetest moments I get to quietly capture.

But there is also something so incredibly romantic about waiting for the aisle.

You’ve spent months choosing the dress, the veil, the flowers… imagining what it will feel like when you finally walk toward the person you’re about to spend forever with. Getting to photograph a groom’s reaction as he sees the love of his life walking down the aisle will never get old. And for those few moments, your closest family and friends get to experience that emotion right alongside you. 🤍

One isn’t more romantic than the other. They’re simply beautiful in different ways.

Choosing a first look doesn’t take away from the magic of walking down the aisle, just as waiting for the aisle doesn’t mean you’re missing out on an intimate moment together. Your wedding day is filled with so many moments that are uniquely yours.

So choose what feels most like the two of you. Private vows and a first look, or the big reveal down the aisle nothing will take away from the beauty or meaning of your day.

Tucked away in the heart of Atlanta, Cator Woolford Gardens feels like stepping into a fairytale. ✨🌿

There’s something so effortlessly romantic about this location. From the lush gardens and winding pathways to the grand staircase, timeless columns, beautiful architecture, and perfectly manicured landscape every corner gives us something completely different to create with.

One of my favorite things about photographing engagement sessions here is the ability to reserve the gardens for a private session. No navigating around crowds or waiting for the perfect spot to clear, just space to slow down, enjoy each other, and create images that feel intimate, romantic, and completely your own.

And everything ties together so beautifully. The greenery. The stonework. The steps. The columns. The historic estate. 🤍 It gives you that elevated, European-garden feeling without ever leaving Atlanta.

There’s something so special about a wedding day that feels a little slower, a little quieter, and entirely centered around the people who matter most. 🤍

Cassidy + Zack chose an intimate brunch wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends, and from the very beginning, their day carried such a peaceful, gentle kind of joy.

The morning started early, the guys bringing in Waffle House while the ladies settled in for hair and makeup. ☕️🧇 Family moved in and out, helping with the little details and bringing everything together in the most beautiful, effortless way.

And then there was Cassidy’s dress. 🤍

She honored her mom by repurposing her mother’s original wedding gown, transforming it into something completely her own while still carrying such a meaningful piece of her family’s story with her down the aisle. One of those details that somehow makes a wedding day feel even more sacred.

But what I loved most was simply watching Cassidy + Zack together.

Surrounded by the people who know and love them best, you could see just how gentle their love is…the quiet glances, the way they cared for one another, and the calm that seemed to follow them throughout the day.

No rush. No need for anything extravagant. Just family, meaningful traditions, brunch, and two people beginning forever surrounded by so much love.

Cassidy + Zack, your day was such a beautiful reminder that sometimes the sweetest celebrations are the intimate ones. 🤍

Emma + Hayden 🤍

Their engagement session was everything a summer evening in a country song is supposed to feel like. Rolling thunder in the distance, summer showers passing through, wildflowers, bare-foot kind of love, and those quiet little moments that make you wish summer could last forever.

And somehow, the unpredictable weather made it even better. ✨

We spent the evening exploring The Grove at DeFoor Farm , the very place where these two will say I do in just a few short months. There’s something extra special about photographing an engagement session at the place that will soon hold one of the biggest days of their lives.

From high school sweethearts to forever… Emma + Hayden have already grown through so many seasons together, and this November they’ll finally begin their next one as husband + wife. 🥹🤍

November can’t come soon enough.

Here’s to summer storms, country roads, young love and the sweetest forever ahead. 🥂
