Long overdue but here we go! Fiordo di Furore is a breathtaking fjord on the Amalfi Coast. Some fun little things I learned about it.

📌Fiordo di Furore isn’t a traditional glacial fjord; this is a river gorge that is sculpted by the Schiato torrent.

📌There is tiny historic fishing village built into the cliffs.

📌A stone arch bridge frames the fjord, offering breathtaking views of the coast.

📌“Furore” comes from the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs.

📌The beach isn’t a rock beach and you can find old pieces of clay and glass that has been worn smooth by time and the waves.

Fun facts about the town Amalfi and more rainy day pics:

1️⃣ Amalfi is famous for Limoncello and lemon crops in the area.
2️⃣ Amalfi was part of the four Great Maritime Republics of Italy. Venice, Genoa, and Lisa are the other 3.
3️⃣ The the Amalfi Coast is named after the town. While the town is a tourist hub, there are many small towns and places to experience.
4️⃣ the Amalfi Cathedral houses relics of Saint Andrew and is famous for the exterior staircase and architecture.
5️⃣ nearby is the Fiordo di Furore which is what I will post next!

Spent a rainy afternoon in the town of Amalfi. Different vibes in the rain. Low hanging clouds, a little more sleepy, still busy but now too crowded; I like it!

Found this hidden gem of the Amalfi Coast, Fiordo di Furore. Its tucked between towering cliffs, this spot feels like a scene straight out of a storybook. From the striking arch of the stone bridge to the rustic charm of the old fisherman’s houses, it’s a sweet spot for a dip in the coast or to just take in the picturesque views.🌊🛶
