Astral Clowder

Astral Clowder Costumes and gothic/mythical wearable art I work with clay, wire, resin, hemp, glass and use things in ways they aren't generally meant for.

What I make are the things that fanboys and girls want, but aren't available anywhere but handmade from my imagination. Much of my inspiration comes from video games and nerdcore sub-culture... and occasionally from the imagination of my geeky friends and interesting folk that cross my path :3

This one was a hard-fought project and completely recycled. I ended up losing the original stone and was lucky to find one similarly sized. I had seams breaking all along the way so there are obvious seams in the finished product and the price will reflect that when I post it.

It's something else entirely to melt scrap, flatten, cut out circles, dome each half, stamp and saw out dozens of small pieces, file and clean them, and try to keep them from shifting around during soldering. And this was the second attempt. I made it to the first layer of leaves and had a catastrophic melt, so I tried again 🔻🔻

Mostly recycled sterling silver with labradorite. What I like doing is making memorial jewelry, so I might have a few more ideas for future vessels.
