What a beautiful beginning at Gardenview! 🌿

Wednesday evening, Fiona and I welcomed a fabulous group of midwives, doulas, student midwives, birth assistants, lactation professionals, and others who support families throughout the birth journey. The Coach House was full to the brim, and my heart certainly was too! 🤩

The evening was filled with meaningful conversation, new connections, thoughtful ideas, and so much encouragement as we toured the spaces and explored how Gardenview might serve local and traveling homebirth families before, during, and after birth.

I’m deeply grateful to everyone who came, shared their experience, asked questions, and helped me imagine what this peaceful place could become. Hearing that there is a genuine need for flexible, welcoming accommodations has left me even more excited to see where God leads.

This is only the beginning, and I’m so thankful for the beautiful community already gathering around this vision. 💕

Exciting update! 🎉

For quite some time, many of you have known that I’ve been praying and seeking the Lord’s direction for Gardenview Retreat. He has recently opened new doors and allowed me to connect with local midwives and others who serve growing families. A beautiful new vision has begun to take shape—one I never saw coming…

A homebirth retreat at Gardenview! 👶

As a former labor and delivery nurse, the opportunity to serve families in this way brings me joy beyond words. ☺️ Gardenview seems beautifully suited to offer women and families a peaceful place to nest, give birth with their chosen birth team, then rest and recover.

God is so GOOD!!! 🤩

I’m delighted to take this next step and invite our local birth worker community to the first Gardenview Retreat / Homebirth Community Open House on Wednesday, July 29, from 6:00–8:00 PM.

Midwives, doulas, birth assistants, lactation consultants, students, and others who support families throughout the birth journey are warmly welcome.

I’m excited to share my first small gathering at the Coach House here at Garden of Life Coaching & Retreat!🌿

This space has been slowly coming together, and it feels incredibly special to finally begin opening it up for intentional gatherings.

Clarity & Connection at Gardenview is a peaceful, faith-based midweek morning designed for women who could use a little space to step away, reflect, and reconnect.

This will be a very small, intentional group (just 4–8 women), gathered in the Coach House and surrounding gardens for a quiet and meaningful time together.

Date: Wednesday, May 6
Timeframe: 10:00–11:30 AM
Location: Gardenview (my property here in Chattanooga)

If you’ve been feeling stretched, busy, or simply in need of a reset, this may be a beautiful opportunity to pause for a bit.

Hello friends… here’s your for :

Communication isn’t what counts… Comprehension is!

Very few people listen. I mean really and truly listen.
How many times have you been talking with someone only to have the other person start looking at their phone? 🤨

Or how often have you had the feeling that the other person is just waiting for you to pause what you’re saying so they can jump in and say what’s already filling their mind? 😝

We’ve all had it done to us… and if we’re going to be honest here, we’ve all done it too. 😔

Learning to truly listen is an art. And it’s worth learning. Any of us CAN start to be more intentional in each and every communication. I’ve even built a successful practice because of it. People need to be heard. YOU deserve to be heard.

Comprehension and the full understanding that comes from it is the best gift we can give to the people in our lives. 💝

So choose to be the best listener your friends know… you might be surprised at the blessings that will flow back in return! 💕
