Butterfly Ranunculus! It’s like a spray of flowers perfectly spaced and placed all on one stem! They float & flutter in arrangements and last forever in a vase too! This was the latest variety to bloom and I LOVE the color! Did I mention the blooms are iridescent and shimmer?

Whats not to love?! 🥰

Wow! THANK YOU!
Every box in this photo represents someone choosing to support a small farm, a dream, and the work that happens behind the scenes long before the blooms arrive.

Thank you for allowing me to do what I love every single day. Thank you for supporting this dream, this farm, and for letting me share so much joy with you through flowers. 🌸

It’s truly humbling and overwhelming for me to see your dahlia orders come through, and I want you to know that I notice every single one.

Whether you’ve purchased tubers, flowers, attended a workshop or have allowed us to create magic for your wedding…you are helping build something so special here at Guiding Green Thumbs, and I’m endlessly grateful for it. 💛

This Memorial Day, we’re especially grateful for those who gave everything in service to our country. Today is more than the start of summer — it’s a day to pause, reflect, and honor the sacrifice behind the freedom we enjoy every day. 🇺🇸

These gorgeous peonies opened today… just in time and their rich velvety color feels so fitting for the occasion.

You may notice I cut the flowers with short stems, and that was done with intention. These are young peony plants in their second season. The goal is to leave as much foliage on the plant as possible. Those leaves help them store energy, establish strong roots, and build more “eyes” for future blooms. More eyes = more stems and more blooms in the years ahead. A little patience in year one and two pays off with armfuls later.

And honestly… peonies are the ultimate long-game investment. Slow and steady wins the flower race. 🌸

I’m so glad I planted so many ranunculus this year… I am thoroughly enjoying every single one of them. ❤️

These are ‘La Belle Chocolate’ ranunculus — the very first to bloom this season — and honestly, I just couldn’t keep up with harvesting them when the heat came so naturally… I ended up taking an entire armful home with me yesterday. 😅

The color is a deep velvety red with hints of mahogany and scarlet, and layers of petals for days, they almost don’t look real.

Worth every bit of the work. 🌧️

A hummingbird has been zipping in and out of the barn all morning during our sale, I knew he was eyeballing the ranunculus bouquets!

But once the rain started, Bryan added a bouquet of tulips to the checkout table and he finally got brave enough to slow down for a minute. He landed right next to me on the tulips. 🥹 I luckily had my phone already in hand to grab a photo!

It made one final stop at the ranunculus bouquets on his way out. Goal accomplished. 🌸 🎯

Maybe sitting still once in a while really does have its benefits. ✨

These butterfly ranunculus could not be more enchanting. What absolute beauties. 🥰✨

They’re the kind of flowers that make you stop mid-task and stare for a minute… or five. Soft, fluttery, and almost too pretty to be real.

Starting tomorrow, we’ll have an assortment of ranunculus bouquets available at the farmstand and Concord Hill on Main Street in Chatham.

And fun fact: ranunculus are one of the longest-lasting flowers we grow — beauty and staying power. 💛

The true reward for all this hard work isn’t just the flowers… it’s the stillness of the morning, the birds in the distance, and handfuls of color gathered in the quiet before the craziness of the day. 💕
