My name is Troy Armstrong and I own and operate The Troy Armstrong DJ Company, which provides DJ service and coordinating services for weddings, parties and corporate events. I've also recently taken on the added responsibility of officiating weddings, which I truly enjoy.

I've lived in Central Illinois 29 years and my parents still live in the house where I grew up in out in the country north of Roseville in western Illinois. I enjoy living in Central Illinois. ⭐️Wedding receptions are a family reunion, not a rock concert.⭐️
I received good advice 30 years ago from a musician friend, who was also an expert with speakers; including at big concert venues. He said to bring enough equipment to the reception venue to fill the room evenly with sound. That way you don’t blast out the guests. They want to visit without yelling. Thank you, Mike Mason. I started my own DJ company 26 years ago today, May 25th, 2000, with the idea that I'd like to provide a good service for the nice people of Jacksonville and central Illinois. I was living in Jacksonville at the time and my mom came down from Roseville that day (90 minute drive) and we got the company started by riding over to Springfield to go shopping at Circuit City. I started with nothing that day but came back with 2 CD players, 2 CD burners and about $100.00 worth of blank CDs. I was DJ for 3 Cunningham weddings plus Dan was my best requester when I was a morning radio personality on 107.1. He would call in every weekday at 5:55am with a good song!
