Old Metropolitan Hall is downtown Charlottesville’s premiere gathering space for private events. Once the site of the Metropolitan Cafe, a popular watering hole during the 1940′s and 50′s, the artfully restored event space showcases two floors of incomparable beauty and design. Elegant and versatile, Old Metropolitan Hall features an expansive upstairs ballroom displaying aged wood floors, 14 ft c

eilings adorned with their original antique tin tiles, and white-washed walls, all exquisitely lit with era-inspired glass chandeliers. Downstairs opens up onto a more intimate space with black and white diamond flooring, a custom built-in copper bar, exposed beams, and enough room for your DJ or band. Whether dressed in white linen and cascading florals or with rustic details and bare farm tables, Old Metropolitan Hall provides the perfect venue for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, gala, fundraiser, reception, or next unique event.
