They say "all the world's a stage," and Raichyl definitely brought the talent to her senior session at Miller School! 🎭 As a drama club member, her expressions were absolutely effortless, making my job behind the lens so much fun.

Even with a little bit of mother-daughter banter about outfit choices (we’ve all been there, right? 😂), the gallery turned out absolutely breathtaking. A look back at a very special milestone... ✨

While her birthday party theme was "Wild One," for her actual portrait session last August, we went with something a bit more timeless and boho.

I loved collaborating with my sister (G Momma) and my niece Salim, (Teagan's mom) on this one! Shara and Salim were the ultimate stylists, bringing along a teepee, lantern, a tiny purse, and even a rocking cow. Shara even baked the cake for the "smash"—though Teagan was much more interested in inspecting the frosting than actually wearing it! 🎂

Going back through the archives today to share a favorite from last spring! 🌿✨

Lucy and her friends had quite the adventure for their UVA graduation celebration. Between shuttle delays and spring showers, we had to think fast—and I am so glad we did! We moved the entire session to their dinner destination at The Farmhouse at Veritas, and the timing couldn't have been better.

A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Veritas for being so incredibly gracious and welcoming to us on short notice. We spent the evening capturing family legacies and celebratory toasts in that stunning, post-rain light. Congratulations again to these four impressive graduates! 🎓🥂Sometimes the most beautiful sessions come from the most unexpected pivots! 🌿✨

Throwback to Rain, Daisies, and 50 Years of the Janecko Family 🌼

Taking a look back at one of my favorite sessions from last August! The Janecko family traded their usual beach vacation for the Elkton mountains to celebrate a huge milestone: a 50th wedding anniversary. 🏔️

I still remember the nerves checking the radar as the thunderstorms rolled in! We took a gamble on the weather, and it paid off with the most incredible golden hour light. We even included daisies to match the ones from the grandparents’ wedding day 50 years ago.

The ice might still be sticking around, but I’m officially moving forward with my "Archive Series!" 🧊➡️✨

Next up is Emily’s early morning 4th Year session. Now that we’ve finally dug out and can get around town again, looking at these warm, sunrise-tinted photos feels like a breath of fresh air.

Emily’s time at the University of Virginia was defined by her hard work in the School of Engineering and her passion for UVA Recreation. While the ground outside is currently frozen, these photos are a great reminder of how beautiful the Lawn looks when graduation season arrives. 🏛️🎓

Sarah and Nicholas kept it classic and close-knit with a beautiful elopement at the Charlottesville Circuit Court. Surrounded by family, they proved that you don't need a massive production to have a deeply meaningful start to your marriage.

From their height difference to their shared love for their pups, Riley and Lorna, these two are the perfect example of how kindness and intelligence bring two people together. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs.! ✨

Busy season may be over, but stories like this are what stay with me 🤍

Savannah & Graham chose an intimate, faith-filled beginning to their marriage—one rooted in love, intention, and doing life God’s way. From their unexpected first meeting during COVID to a quiet Christmas morning proposal and a just-us wedding day, their story is a reminder that simple can be incredibly meaningful.

Sessions like this are why I do what I do. Slowing down, reflecting, and celebrating couples who are building something solid from the start.

Chelsea and Alex’s Knight’s Gambit Vineyard Wedding was a celebration full of color, creativity, and heart! 🌿✨

They said “I do” beneath a tree canopy surrounded by fall leaves and mountain views. Chelsea wore a floral embroidered gown with a flower crown, and Alex’s eclectic suit fit their whimsical style perfectly.

Their reception featured handmade bunting crafted by Chelsea’s family, and the night ended with laughter, dancing, and a surprise appearance of green hooded capes. It was pure joy from start to finish!

McKenzi and Devin’s wedding day at Valley Mills Farm in Swoope, Virginia was filled with love, laughter, and the sweetest personal touches. Their outdoor ceremony overlooking the river was so heartfelt — officiated by Devin’s stepdad and surrounded by family.

From their emotional first looks (yes, there were two!) to the stunning florals and arch made by a family member, every detail reflected the love and care that went into their day.

I’m so thankful to have captured such a genuine and joy-filled celebration for this amazing couple. 💕
