I had the chance to tell this story last night at during Music Bingo and I thought I would share it with all of you.
Many people ask me how I got started doing Music Bingo and it all goes back to my time as an elementary music teacher.
I always did a unit in the spring on John Williams and his music he composed for movies, and one year we did a movie theme song guessing game.
The students LOVED this game so much, so I decided to create a little bingo game with movie theme songs and popular music from movies.
It was always a hit in my classroom and encouraged active listening, making connections, and of course some singing and dancing.
One day I thought, ‘man - this is so fun. I bet grown ups would love this too!’
And well, here we are.
I started by using an online service, but quickly changed to creating all of my own playlists and bingo cards. I sincerely hope you all have as much fun as I do at every Music Bingo event!
