Do I like brown now?!

As trends go, Mocha Mousse was the Pantone color of the year in 2025, since we have seen more and more BROWN in wedding color stories.

As a former brown hater, I was resistant, but allowing for one more neutral in my go-to palette has sparked inspired creativity. Wedding design is more than asking you what your favorite color is...it's about creating a feeling.

Color is just one element to consider - textures, fabrics, function, and, of course, cost are all things we are mindful of when creating your design plan. I am happy to say that I am reformed and leaning into using this earthy hue to create the cozy, editorial, or moody days of our client's dream.

What's our ideal couple?

Madly in love and with those with good taste.

AND THESE TWO WERE IT!

C+B gave us their vision, and their vendors made 👏🏻 it 👏🏻 happen. 👏🏻

The day was filled with so much beauty, joy, and laughter.

It was one of those days where we all took 30,000 steps, but every step was WORTH IT to see the joy on the faces of the couple and their guests.

We take your experience very seriously - you should be present and enjoy your day, but more than that, you should enjoy your engagement. This is one big drumroll to the rest of your life - so let's have some fun with it, debate napkin colors, and decide to make a tiramisu last minute because having the best day ever to kick off your married life is what it's all about!

We are heading into the busiest of busy seasons and in the midst of back-to-back weddings, hiring new members of our team, one assistant expecting, one busy with a toddler, and one planning to move abroad, and myself figuring out what's next for this little business...my dear friend reminded me that this wedding was THREE years ago.

Aly was just a stranger that day. The couple didn't know if they even wanted a photographer, and I told them they HAD to hire this photographer new to Richmond who I just had a feeling would capture their day perfectly (a planner's instincts are rarely wrong)!!

Ashlyn had just started working for me, and my life and the world were very different.

I am so grateful for the time that has passed, for the friendships in my team and this industry that have been made.

We have grown so much in these years; I have grown so much in these years, but each wedding remains just as special.

Thank you for being here, and here's to many more!
