🌟 ONE YEAR 🌟 since it was 102° in May, the bride (my sister) fainted at the altar, got carried inside and snapped this most perfect picture to document the moment.
At this moment, my perspective as a sister was heartbroken for a wedding “ruined”, that I couldn’t fix it, that she felt sick the rest of the night.
As a planner, I was running through our back up plan. How to finish the ceremony? How to keep guests entertained while she feels better, what chairs would look best at the altar to finish the ceremony? How does this change our timeline? And a million other things. We asked the caterer to pass the signature cocktails early, my mom made an announcement the bride was ok and would be back soon, chairs from our lounge seating were brought up for them to sit and finish the ceremony, and her rehearsal dinner dress was pulled out for her to change into after photos.
I grieved this moment for months but looking back, this moment on the couch is one of my favorite memories from the day.
Happy one year Coley and Cole 💜🧡
