Tip 5:

Food!!!!!!! Lol. Who cooking it and what do you want. Think budget and if you have a friend or family member doing it for it. Well make sure you have a menu down well in advance so there's no hiccups. Going professional? Try a small local business. I feel strongly on supporting local business. Most times they are cheaper and personally invested in every dish and...you have someoneyou can use later. Ask for a tasting and come with any concerns you have. Gluten, dairyfree, vegetarian? Little of everything? Double up if you can...do they do desserts? Big cakes?

Tip 4:

Now you know where and how many people decide which theme you want to do. You know how big of a space you need to decorate and party favors for the number of guests. This is the fun time! Enjoy shopping and don't be afraid to change your mind on the style.

Tip 3:

Decide on a venue BASED on the RSVP you received back. You want to get the most bang foe your buck. So, 50 people coming? Figure out if you need to bring in external help for servers and parking. Or if the establishment offer catering and valet parking( marks something off the list too). That way if the venue picked only holds 60 people you won't be crowded.

Tip 2:

Finalize a guest list or as close to a number count as possible. There's no way to know how much seating, food, decor...etc. You will need until you have a idea of the number of guest. Send a save a day for RSVP. Its a great way to know if the venue is large enough or way to big. It can save you money in the long run.

Good morning charlotte! I will use the next few days to share my top go to tips to planning a successful event.

Tip 1:
Keep it simple. Brainstorm your ideas. Get everything out on paper and then scratch out the things that you are unsure of or not sure you can pull it off. Simplify your themes, menus, schedules and build from there. Having too many options leaves room for failure.
