North Carolina, we are at a critical crossroads.
NC Senate voted to pass a version of House Bill 328 (HB 328) that threatens to completely dismantle North Carolina’s thriving h**p industry. If approved by the House when they return to Raleigh on July 27th, this bill will impose a devastating 0.4 milligram "Total THC" limit per package.
What does this mean? It means a de facto ban on 99% of the products on the market today. This includes full-spectrum CBD gummies, natural wellness blends, and the trusted vaporizers and flower you rely on.
As an independent, locally owned small business in Charlotte, CannaBuddy has always stood for safety, rigorous third-party lab testing, and strict 21+ age verification. We support sensible, protective regulations. But HB 328 is not a safety bill; it is a backdoor prohibition that will hurt communities, eliminate consumer access, and devastate the state’s economy.
THE ECONOMIC REALITY FOR NORTH CAROLINA:
According to the latest independent data from Whitney Economics:
The NC h**p industry generates $4.4 Billion in total economic impact.
It supports 12,000+ local jobs and provides over $702 Million in hard-earned wages for NC families.
H**p retail brings in $87.8 Million in state sales tax revenue annually.
If the House concurs with the Senate's harsh ban, North Carolina will suffer a massive contraction: 12,000+ jobs will be eliminated, over 1,500 small businesses and farms will fail, and $3.7 Billion in economic activity will vanish. Worse, it will fuel an unsafe, criminalized street market.
We must tell our legislators to regulate, not eliminate. Please take 30 seconds to call these key representatives today. Let them know that their constituents support small business owners, NC farmers, and safe, regulated adult access.
Please contact your reps today and ask them to vote NO on HB328
