Today as part of the Duke's Mayo Classic Fan Fest, Chef Alyssa was a guest judge along with Mayor Mayor Vi Lyles, Detective Garry McFadden, Congresswoman Alma S. Adams, PhDand chef Mike Taylor. They voted to crown the best black food truck in Charlotte. The winning truck received $6,000 grand prize by using the mystery basket of ingredients and Duke's Mayonnaise as part of their dish! Congratulations to GRITS CLT!

Tonight we are hosting executive leadership from NASCAR including the NASCAR president. Itâs a chopped challenge utilizing our entire space for 9 teams competing with mystery basket ingredients. The ultimate team building event.
Today, Chef Alyssaâs Kitchen is celebrating year 9!! We began as a pop-up in the evenings inside Atherton Market in 2013. Summer Italian was one of our very first themes on this date. When we moved to our Bowers location in 2018, Summer Italian was our first public class. Also on this date.
Each year we celebrate where we are now, recognize the work it took to have this opportunity and thank you for allowing us to share our cooking and menus with you.

UNC Charlotte development department spent the day at CAK! Beginning for a team meeting throughout the day, lunch from our catering department, the team finished competing in our bake off challenge. Teams competed to make dessert within one hour and judged by our pastry team!
On Saturday, Chef Alyssa and Gloria made the survivor breakfast for 24 Foundation! Scratch English muffins breakfast sandwiches and a refreshing local watermelon and strawberry salad with mint and basil. Cheers to all those involved 24 hours of booty!

We are here for todayâs Chopped Challenge with Brasfield & Gorrie! A two round competition, with mystery ingredients and a pantry to utilize. What a fun day and team building event!
Chef Alyssa is at the Lodge Cast Iron in Concord Mills cooking with two of our favorite brands (@biggreenegg and @lodgecastiron) making samples for Fatherâs Day Weekend: Smoked pork loin skewers, charing tomatoes and putting together a 'Southern Panzenella Salad' with baked cornbread.
This week marks the beginning of Summer Camps at Chef Alyssaâs Kitchen. This is our 7th year of camps and we have 12 filled sessions between culinary, baking and advanced camps. Structured like our adult menus, we lead these young chefs for hands-on experience, fun and new recipes to make at home!! Todayâs video shows both our culinary and teen baking camp happening.
An amazing addition to Wednesdayâs cooking show and football talk with Chef Alyssa, @gregolsen88 and @wearevericast was the team from @b_gmm @ncatsuaggies bookending the event!!
We are tossing into the holiday weekend with homemade pizza day on the last day of session 3 culinary camp! Our full menu is scratch made and on Fridays parents and family members are invited for a big lunch to highlight the end of camp.
