There’s a lot more than guest count to consider when crafting the perfect layout for your celebration 🤍
When designing a custom layout for my clients’ wedding wedding receptions, I consider a few different factors:
•Flow — What moments on our timeline will occur in this space? How will the couple and guests be able to move around in the space once dinner is completed?
•Feeling — Does the couple prefer the feeling of an intimate candlelit dinner with a sweetheart table or a celebratory feast with their favorite people seated at a head table? Is the couple driven toward intentional conversation and mingling with their guests on the heels of dinner or are they ready to get straight to dancing in a vibrant party environment?
•Functionality — Does our catering team have ample space to move throughout the space and perform their job functions with ease? What will be in the background of our photographer’s shots for key moments like the first dance, toasts, and cake cutting? How close will guests be seated to the band or DJ’s sound system?
Having a wedding planner carefully craft your layout ensures that these factors (and so many more) are considered to elevate the guest experience!
