Welp! First day of class was yesterday. She is making it through welcome week events and parties, first weekend jitters, the pull to get off campus and come home, finding a tribe, roommate move in, sitting in the wrong class, the cafe food getting mundane, FDOC outfit dilemma, the freshman pinning ceremony, HBCU overwhelm and being bored and it's just week ONE!!! Our baby girl is stretching and growing and this is the time to do it. This is our official THANK you for every grad gift, cash, Zelle, gift card, prayer, silent cash app, calls, texts and offers to ride at dawn! Let's go Pey, its your turn to take flight, God is saying yes when others said no!

As a CERTIFIED event planner I can say with my whole chest that the graduation party is one of the most tedious, arduous and most fulfilling of all events that I've ever created. The devil is definitely in the details and they're all most definitely needed to experience and enjoy! This year Mother's Day looked a little different for me. I spent it with a friend who has just lost her Mother. I dedicate this post to those who have lost their mother, a child, a sister who was like a mother this year last year or forever ago. To those who know you are not without your mother, but you are God's child and he wraps you up like a little bitty baby. I didn't forget to post on Mother's Day, I was a little busy sharing my time with these beautiful mothers, Peyton's aunties, and my sisters for life as we were celebrating Pat!

We are so overwhelmed with joy and pride! ANNOUNCEMENT: We have committed to Livingstone College a private Christian HBCU in Salisbury, NC. Her major is Biology preparing her for a career in healthcare. This is one of the happiest days of our lives and please congratulate her when you see her. This girl has worked hard and with the faith of a mustard seed. SHE DID IT! Livingstone here we come.
