The beginning of COVID-19 meant that events would be postponed and cancelled due to mandates and orders from the governor. Guidelines and safety standards would be increased and business would halt.

We are grateful to City of Charlotte Government for their efforts to assist small businesses. The grant afforded us the opportunity to continue serving meals to children seeking a hot meal while not in school and to those displaced and homeless in the tent communities in and around our uptown corridors.

Turner is an Access to Capital Grant recipient. Through the grant program, the City of Charlotte is distributing $30 million in federal CARES Act funding to small businesses impacted by COVID-19. We are proud to be hilighted by WSOC for our work during COVID-19. We are grateful for our staff and Hearts Beat as One Foundation during these uncertain times. Food is something that no one should have to worry about during a crisis and we work hard daily to ensure that we can offer hot meals to as many children and unemployed families as possible. We also assist in managing the Wedgewood Church food pantry that feeds 250 families each week on Wednesday's at 7pm. Please consider giving to each of these groups to assist with their efforts!
