The proposed 2026 Eaton County budget eliminates MSU Extension and 4-H programs. If you wish to show support for the 4-H program, here are some ways you can help.

Please rest assured that the County budget cuts will not directly affect youth involvement in the Eaton County Fair, nor any funding for the Fair or Fairgrounds.

As you may have seen, the below article reports on Eaton County considering eliminating funding for the MSU Extension services, which could eliminate the 4-H program in Eaton County.

This has no effect on the Eaton County Fair or the participation of our youth exhibitors! A more formal statement will be issued once the future of the 4-H program is determined. In the meantime, please rest assured that ALL of our kids will still be able to participate in the Fair just as they have in the past.

The Eaton County Fair is in no way funded by Eaton County or any other entity, besides our generous sponsors, community supporters, and customers. We’re not going anywhere!

2025 Campground layout! Early-bird camping begins on Thursday, July 3, 5pm - 9pm. Campers must enter through the back gate off of Paine Dr. A $20 cash fee will be charged for early drop off. Regular camper drop off begins Friday at 9am. Hope everyone has a Happy Independence Day! See you this weekend!
