Just got the mockups back for our first issue of BRIDE Magazine, and absolutely loving how things are looking.

A decade ago, I published my first book. Ten years later, I'm proud to have created this magazine resource for planning brides, and a continuation of my lifelong interest in writing.

This magazine was written, edited and designed by me. Photography is all mine, with just a select few images from my best friend Jordan Pierce. I interviewed more than 15 local Charlotte and Philadelphia wedding experts for the articles, many of whom I've personally worked with for years.

It's also been exciting to do press around our launch. It was awesome recording for the The Best of LKN and The Best of Charlotte podcasts last week, and we look forward to telling our story on the The Charlotte Ledger podcast next week!

Can't wait til the free digital edition goes live in two weeks!

Truly beyond thrilled to announce this. This is a full-circle moment for me that brings together my background in journalism, passion for photography, and expertise in weddings.

This May, I'll release the very first issue of a brand-new annual wedding publication, entitled "BRIDE Magazine." The inaugural edition offers a comprehensive planning guide to planning couples, and features my imagery and writing alongside interviews with 15+ fellow wedding industry veterans.

It greatly excites me to have created a helpful planning resource that will help streamline vendor selection and wedding planning for so many.

The magazine will be digital-first (free also), but also will be offered in physical print format on a limited run basis.

I am the owner of Robert Burns II Photography. We're growing to the point where we need to bring a part-time assistant on. We do have occasional needs for second shooters, but we already have a core team of 2nds we work with.

What I'm hiring for today is an ASSISTANT role. If you're looking for consistent pay, reach out.

- No experience necessary
- Some heavy lifting at times
- Some hot days (Carolina weddings in Spring/Summer, just comes with the territory)
- Recurring booking potential
- Zero tolerance on no-show behavior.

Pretty much, you'll drive with me to the wedding/event, and you'll be paid/fed. Your job is to move lights, help keep an eye on our gear, and help in any way possible.

Compensation
You can expect compensation along these lines. Long days - $25/hr with 6-hour minimum. Shorter days - $200 minimum.
