Just putting this out there for everyone who follows AC Creations:

The kinds of phone calls our company receives lately… honestly, they’re wild. Some of the requests we get are so unrealistic, it’s clear people aren’t thinking through the scope of what they’re asking for.

Let’s be real: the cost of supplies has gone way up. Many event planners have already started adjusting pricing because inventory costs alone have jumped by 25%. That’s not an exaggeration—it’s the reality of working in this industry right now.

This week, someone contacted us wanting décor for a wedding with 400 guests… on a $4,000-5,000 budget. That’s just not doable. It’s not even close. Designing a beautiful, quality event takes resources, time, labor, and skill—and that comes with a price tag.

So I’m saying this with love and honesty: please think through your budget and your expectations. Weddings and events are expensive. That’s the truth. We’re not trying to upsell you—we’re trying to deliver quality within realistic means.

Just wanted to share what’s happening behind the scenes. It’s time we start having these conversations openly.

We’re sharing this announcement to help clients better understand the wedding and events industry—and how to ensure their day runs smoothly.

One of the most important, yet often overlooked, details when hosting a wedding or event is making sure your vendors are fed.

Your vendors dedicate an entire day to making your event special, memorable, and seamless. Whether it’s your photographer, planner, DJ, or florist, they are on their feet for hours, giving their all. Imagine working an 8- to 12-hour shift without a meal—it’s exhausting, and it becomes difficult to stay focused or deliver high-quality service on an empty stomach.

Just like at a regular job, no one should go all day without food. Vendors are professionals here to support your once-in-a-lifetime day. The least they need is a meal to keep going strong.

So when you’re speaking with your caterer, please include all your vendors in the meal count. It’s not just kind—it’s necessary.

Feed your vendors. Take care of them. A successful event depends on it.

Attention this is Public Announcement 📢 🎤

Lately, we’ve noticed a growing trend where clients request full event décor and design services for a $500 budget. We want to clarify that this is not a feasible amount for professional event design.

The cost of materials alone often exceeds $500, and that doesn’t include labor, time, and other essential factors that go into creating a beautifully designed event. One of the biggest expenses is labor, followed closely by the cost of supplies.

If you’re working with a $500 budget, we highly recommend a DIY approach instead. Unfortunately, professional designers cannot meet this price point while maintaining quality and standards.

Please keep in mind that vendors will follow up if they haven’t heard from you. This is a standard practice among reputable professionals and a sign of good service. If a vendor does not follow up after your initial conversation, it could be a red flag.

A follow-up is not meant to pressure or hound you—it’s simply a professional courtesy to check on your interest in moving forward. If you are no longer in need of their services, a quick response to let them know is always appreciated. A simple, “Thank you, but I’ve decided to go in a different direction” or “Yes, I’d like to move forward” helps vendors manage their schedules and provide the best service possible.

Communication goes both ways, and a timely response ensures a smooth and professional experience for everyone involved.
