Today we stand and fight. Not as individuals, but as a community.
For those who aren’t aware, a massive manufacturing facility has been operating right next to Fort Mill’s newest elementary school. There are a million nuances to this case, but here is the 10,000-foot view: A Canadian-based company decided to put people’s lives at risk all in the name of profit. They came to our small town thinking they could get away with it.
Unfortunately for them, they picked the wrong small town.
Fort Mill is one of the greatest communities I have ever been a part of. It is full of families, small business owners, teachers, and athletes who make this place home. We moved here because of the people, and we aren’t going anywhere.
As small business owners, we support growth and new jobs ,but we have ZERO tolerance for companies that gamble with our children’s lives.
Today, we are using our sign making ability to send a message.
You can't win. You won't win. It's time to leave.
As a fellow Carolinian, Eric Church, once wrote: "I don't like to fight, but I ain't scared to bleed."
