Finding the perfect rose is no easy task — just ask Linda! 🌹

When she began planning the Queen’s Rose Garden, Linda spent an entire winter researching roses, searching for varieties that checked every box: hardy, disease resistant, fragrant, beautiful, and most importantly, not prickly!

Richard was quick to comment that those would make excellent qualities in a wife. Linda ignored his attempt at humor and simply carried on with her quest to find the perfect thornless rose!

Years later, the Queen’s Rose Garden is a beautiful reminder that a little research, patience, and determination can create something truly special! 🌹🏰

Meet Norm, the Castle’s very own guardian dragon! 🏰

With over 6,900 scales, clawed feet, humongous wings, and razor-sharp teeth, he certainly has the look of a creature you’d expect to find guarding a castle!

Surrounding Norm is a garden filled with plants that make his castle home feel straight out of a dragon’s realm.

Smoke Bushes add soft, smoky blooms, Prickly Pear Cactus brings a touch of wild character, Scarlet Flame Carpet Phlox add vibrant pops of red, Crocosmia Lucifer brings fiery blooms, and Dragon’s Blood Sedum add deep red tones throughout the garden.

Together, these plants create the perfect setting for our mighty guardian. With Norm standing watch over the Castle, visitors can rest assured that all are welcome, and all is well! 🏰
