MASTERFUL. That is the only word that truly captures Monique.
Our journey with her two years before the wedding, and through every twist, turn, and postponement that followed, her commitment to our vision never wavered. When we made the decision to elope locally in Houston, Monique was the first to call, wrapping us in support from afar.

Protect our land!!

South Carolina still feels like one of the last places in America where the land hasn’t completely surrendered to endless concrete and construction. 🌴🌊🌅
The Lowcountry sunsets.
The marshes glowing gold at dusk.
The oak trees draped in Spanish moss like something frozen in time. 😭
This isn’t just “empty land.”
It’s shrimp boats rocking in quiet creeks. It’s backroads with no traffic lights for miles. It’s church bells in small towns, seafood shacks by the water, porch swings, salt air, and generations of families who built their lives around these rivers and coastlines long before developers started chasing every open acre. 💀
But now it feels like every peaceful piece of South Carolina is being treated like a future construction project.
Another warehouse.
Another massive subdivision.
Another industrial complex where nature used to breathe.
And once the marshes disappear… once the forests are cleared… once the night sky gets replaced with floodlights and concrete…
there’s no bringing the original beauty back.
