A decade of masterfully orchestrated celebrations...
10 years. 120 months. Thousands of meticulously planned details, countless flickering candles, and infinite unforgettable memories. 🥂
Today marks a milestone that feels beautifully surreal: Firefly Weddings & Events is celebrating a decade in business.
When I first started this company, I wanted to create an experience where couples felt entirely held, where data and deep research met effortless, feminine romance. Ten years later, looking at the legacy of celebrations we’ve built, my heart is incredibly full.
I am so deeply grateful to the brides, grooms, and families who welcomed us into their lives during their most sacred moments. To our team and vendor family who stands shoulder-to-shoulder with me in the late-night hours to ensure every single touchpoint is flawless: I could not do this without you.
The industry has evolved, trends have come and gone, but our dedication to timeless, fiercely intentional design has never wavered. Thank you for an incredible 10 years. Here’s to the next chapter of Firefly! 🤍✨

Twenty-two years ago, I sat in a theater watching The Notebook, completely captivated by the romance, the architecture, and that iconic Southern porch. I had no idea who I would become, or where life would take me.
Fast forward to today. I’m not just standing on that very same porch, I’m here as the visionary bringing a real-life love story to life.
Life has a beautiful, poetic way of closing the loop. From a quiet dream in the audience to the professional orchestrating the magic behind the scenes, this is the ultimate full-circle moment. 🤍✨

MASTERFUL. That is the only word that truly captures Monique.
Our journey with her two years before the wedding, and through every twist, turn, and postponement that followed, her commitment to our vision never wavered. When we made the decision to elope locally in Houston, Monique was the first to call, wrapping us in support from afar.
When the time finally came to bring our dream Charleston wedding to life, we weren't just planning a wedding, we were staging an incredibly intricate production: two distinct ceremonies, dual cocktail hours, multiple look changes, and a flawless reception. It was a logistical tightrope, compounded by the fact that I was wrapping up my MBA finals the very same week. Monique handled the pressure like a true artist. She curated the chaos, steadying my nerves and managing every moving part with absolute grace.
Our wedding was an absolute success. Her team executed a high-stakes, one-hour room turnaround with precision and poise. Monique is the epitome of what exceptional boutique hospitality should be, professional, intuitive, and profoundly dedicated. She is a true gem in the industry.

Protect our land!!

South Carolina still feels like one of the last places in America where the land hasn’t completely surrendered to endless concrete and construction. 🌴🌊🌅
The Lowcountry sunsets.
The marshes glowing gold at dusk.
The oak trees draped in Spanish moss like something frozen in time. 😭
This isn’t just “empty land.”
It’s shrimp boats rocking in quiet creeks. It’s backroads with no traffic lights for miles. It’s church bells in small towns, seafood shacks by the water, porch swings, salt air, and generations of families who built their lives around these rivers and coastlines long before developers started chasing every open acre. 💀
But now it feels like every peaceful piece of South Carolina is being treated like a future construction project.
Another warehouse.
Another massive subdivision.
Another industrial complex where nature used to breathe.
And once the marshes disappear… once the forests are cleared… once the night sky gets replaced with floodlights and concrete…
there’s no bringing the original beauty back.
Because a data center can be built almost anywhere.
But you can’t recreate:
🌅 a Lowcountry sunset
🌴 moss-covered live oaks
🦐 coastal fishing towns
🌊 quiet tidal marshes
🐚 the feeling of driving through South Carolina with the windows down and nowhere to rush to
Some places are worth protecting before they become unrecognizable. 🌿
Protect South Carolina.
Protect the coast.
Protect what still feels real. 👀

A look behind the blooms. 🌺
People often see the finished masterpiece, but we want you to see the soul behind the floral design. We don’t just post the work; we post us working, so you can see the energy and expertise that goes into creating your once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Design Is Never An Accident.

At Firefly, we believe a wedding should feel as though it has always belonged to the landscape. In the shadow of the Biltmore’s stone and history, we composed these installations to anchor the moment, creating a sanctuary of softness against the grand scale of the estate.
Our work is a decade-long study in the "Grand Gesture." It is the art of knowing when to lead, when to listen to the architecture, and how to weave a couple’s story into the very atmosphere of the day.

We compose structures that resonate within the space, transforming a grand view into an intimate experience.
