We received an email inquiry from Hannah in April. She and her future hubby had planned on hiking at the beautiful New River Gorge National Park and Preserve and being married on one of the fabulous overlooks along a trail. Our job was simple, to decorate the already beautiful event space, Paulie’s Parlor Room. Hannah and John gave us permission to do whatever we wanted with the space. They just wanted simple, classic and beautiful. We went with the favorite colors of the couple, purple & navy. Beautiful floral centerpieces, candles, and cute candle favors was absolutely perfect for this sweet couple. Thank you for trusting us to make your celebration everything you wanted.

This wedding was just stunning! Our couple had very few requests when it came to their wedding day. They wanted it to take place on the farm Grace loved, they wanted wild flowers and to have fun. We started planning with Grace and Sam in January. The logistics of a farm wedding are plentiful but we enjoyed coordinating every portion. Thank you so much Grace and Sam for allowing us to make your vision come to life! Thank you for trusting us with vendor suggestions, for empowering us to make decisions without asking, for allowing us to be a part of your perfect day!

McKenzie and Jaime asked us to plan/style and coordinate their wedding and we immediately said yes, even though we had another wedding booked for the same day. The four of us agreed that David and I would plan and style everything and then we would have another one of our crew coordinate. Kenz and I (Steph) used to work together and have remained good friends. David and I placed every item, debated and reworked until it looked perfect for the couple that deserves everything. Blue and white porcelain is a huge wedding trend but we stepped it up with the terracotta and coordinating colors. The decor looked amazing in such a beautiful setting! I can’t wait to share more pictures from the amazing vendors that The Johnson’s put together! Thank you Kenz and Jaime for trusting us with your big day! We are humbled by all of your trust in us.

For the first time in the 10 year existence of Simple Moments, we had two weddings on the same day. Yesterday was the first time we’ve trusted someone to coordinate a wedding for our company that wasn’t David or I. That wedding was just beautiful! David and I were styling/coordinating a wedding outside of Lewisburg… it too was stunning! Can’t wait to share pics from both!!

In all of the years that we have coordinated, planned and styled weddings, we have never had a bride more organized than Tarynn! She knew every detail and how she wanted it. She had thought of every scenario and how to take care of it and she and Noah empowered us to take full control on their wedding day. However, they assembled a top notch vendor team, so they made our day easy. This couple is amazing! They not only planned, built, styled their own wedding, but they also did the same thing to their off grid home, affectionately called the copper house. Having their home be the backdrop of their perfect day was the entire reason for this wedding to happen on the mountain, surrounded by land they plan to make many memories exploring. This wedding was so fun, bright, interactive and full of more love than you could imagine! Tarynn and Noah designed a bloom bar for guests to make floral bouquets to decorate the tables and then take them home as well. And the best part… the adult bouncy house!!! Saturday was beyond perfect! Thank you Tarynn and Noah for trusting us with your wedding day, on your mountain!

Sometimes we meet people that just instantly become friends. That is how I (Steph) felt with Crissy and Kevin when I met them years ago at my retail job. When I ran into their daughter, Kendra, and she said she was having a small and simple ceremony in 2 weeks, I said I’m here if you need me. I was super excited we were given the opportunity to style a simple and beautiful ceremony space for Kendra and Kodie. We wish you both nothing but a lifetime of happiness! Thank you for letting us be a small part of your day! And also for sharing your amazing parents with me ❤️❤️

When we were asked to help create a fun, beautiful event to celebrate the sweetest young lady receiving her civil engineering degree. We couldn’t wait to help plan a special dinner for her.

We used Gina’s college colors, black and gold, to decorate the absolute perfect space at Paulie’s, the bows were so fun and girlie without being overboard. Add in catering from 1010 Bridge, and sweets from the best places and we had a fantastic gathering!

You know we love a good before and after!! The before was taken a little late, we had already moved tables and put down some linens! The after also doesn’t have all the lighting…. Thanks to the EF4 tornado that! We truly loved this venue, an old to***co barn reimagined!

The wedding we coordinated and styled this past weekend for Audrey and Tyler was amazing for many reasons. The first being the bride has been in my (Steph) life since she was around 10 years old and her family is special to me. Another reason is the way everyone pulled together after an EF4 tornado destroyed areas around the venue. Saturday morning we woke up to no electricity at the venue, catering also had no electricity. The venue owners, who are beyond fantastic, jumped into action and equipped the venue with a generator that ran some lights, the refrigerators, and the DJ equipment! Catering changed course and went with a completely different spread and it was phenomenal.

Through the planning process, Audrey said she loved all the colors. She also just wanted a mixture of flowers featuring hot pink, yellow and tangerine. We designed a simple, stunning, elegant look for her that she loved. The venue was stunning and easy to decorate!

Thank you Audrey and Tyler for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of your day. Thank you for rolling with the punches. Thank you for understanding the changes we had to make. ❤️❤️
