Charleston Gateway To The Delta Festival

Charleston Gateway To The Delta Festival Music, Food, Arts/Craft...much more! Details: www.charlestongatewayfestival.org Email: gatewaytothed

We are a full scale festival complete with arts and craft vendors from across the Southeast and a first class music line-up for the enjoyment of the diverse population that calls Charleston, MS and Tallahatchie County home. As we refined our vision for the festival we became aware of some of the issues that affect the people of the county, most notably, the poor state of health afflicting many of

our residents. We decided to turn that negative into a positive and use the festival as a staging ground, not just to bring an outside crowd to town for good food, shopping and music, but as a way to highlight and address some of these health problems. To that end, we tagged the festival “Food, Music and Healthy Living.”

Please share with all your friends who are vendors. We welcome them to join us at this year's festival.

⚡ Restoration Continues — Highlighting Our Engineers ⚡

While boots are on the ground and crews are working in the field, another vital group is working just as hard behind the scenes — our TVEPA engineers. During restoration efforts, our engineers serve in many critical roles — from assessing system damage and ensuring essential materials like transformers and hardware are available, to mapping sections of line that have been rebuilt or repaired. They also coordinate switching, support line crews, and carefully document every step of the process to ensure safe, accurate, and reliable restoration. Our engineers manage the entire electric grid and truly know the system like the back of their hand.
When repairs on a line are complete and inspections are finished, the moment an engineer can safely energize that line — restoring power, safety, and comfort to homes and businesses — is indescribable.

We give our sincerest appreciation to these dedicated men who start their days long before daylight and work well into the night. We are incredibly thankful for our team of engineers and the critical role they play in keeping power flowing safely for our members.

*We will post today's list of work areas as soon as it is received.

*We want to explain that in order to manage several hundred posts each day, we turn comments off of the previous day's post. This way, we can be sure we do not miss anyone, not to prevent communication being a two-way street. Thank you for your understanding.t
