During our first year in business, me, my partners, service staff and culinary team have been honored and humbled to serve our amazing guests here in our lovingly restored building. It has been an incredibly rewarding time for us. After careful consideration and a fortuitous new partnership opportunity, we have decided to embark on a new, exciting vision -- bringing to Charleston the traditions and spirit of Stella’s, a beloved and renowned, family owned Greek restaurant from Richmond, Virginia. We’ll be partnering with our dear friends Johnny and Katrina Giavos, restaurant pioneers in the Richmond area. There, Stella’s has thrived for decades with its superior service, charming atmosphere, and rustic and modern Greek cooking. The restaurant is named after its matriarch,Stella Dikos, who has prepared and served her food to Richmond diners for more than 50 years. Our last day as The Westendorff will be Sunday October 16, at which time we will close for repairs and renovations. Our banquet space, The Warren Room, will continue to operate through our sister company Mosaic Events. We hope to open Stella's Charleston in very early 2017. Our team will continue to be a steward for the historic Westendorff building, which stands proudly in downtown Charleston honoring the Westendorff family.
