This is where the magic happens for designer Callie Tein and her team! From the creation of our brides' custom gowns to designing our newest collection to hit the runway, our atelier is what makes Modern Trousseau so unique.

Each Modern Trousseau gown is handmade with love here by our spectacular and talented team of seamstresses. In making our gowns by hand here in the USA, we are able to remain transparent and ethical in all the work that we do.

When Jazmine came to see us, she knew she wanted a classic Charleston look with a dash of her own personal style. We made it happen!

After trying on some of our gowns, Jazmine found a couple of things she knew she HAD to have in her perfect gown. A long train, gorgeous back, and sleek, modern fabric.

We took our Oxford gown and adjusted the fabrics, and back line, and added 2 additional feet of to the train to create Jazmine's DREAM wedding gown! Talk about a showstopper! ✨

Modern Trousseau bride, Leigh, began her design process by trying on gowns from our collection and fell in love with the Gracie, a dress she loved the shape of, and the material of Allegra. We were able to help Leigh envision these two pieces coming together with a couple of tricks, and right away she knew she had to create her custom gown. 😍

At her next appointment, we did her muslin fitting. This is a plain cotton fabric that serves as a prototype of the dress made. Here we discussed customizations and got the perfect fit before cutting into the fabric for Leigh's dress.

At her last appointment, we made some minor adjustments to the back to make it more comfortable and as well as made some small alterations to make the fit perfect!
