We stress the importance of safety at every event. Working as a team under the direction of your team leaders will help you and your partners mitigate risks associated with court-storming, stage rushing, etc. Our situational awareness and pro-active responsibilities must always be present.

Kansas coach Bill Self said more needs to be done about safety of college basketball players after Kansas State fans rushed the court after Kansas State’s 70-63 upset of the Jayhawks on Monday.

I wanted to give a huge shout out to the VCU Rams led by former Clemson assistant and great guy Shaka Smart and former Clemson assistant and great guy Will Wade. VCU will play in the Final Four on Saturday against Butler. What a great run it has been for the Rams! As a former employee of VCU Athletics, I am pumped for the game on Saturday. GO RAMS!!!!
