Surrounded by 14 acres of live oak groves and scenic river views, this beautifully restored estate on the National Register of Historic Places is a graceful host to one-of-a-kind meeti

The Main House showcases 1786-era architecture with period furnishings, an expansive piazza, grand lawn and sunlit terraces made of bluestone, brick and oyster tabby. Within this relaxed and refined setting, the scenic beauty of the Lowcountry highlights unrivaled sunset views along the waterfront. The rich history of the property spans a Revolutionary War invasion, the arrival of Charleston World’s Fair and a visit from President Theodore Roosevelt. Since 2007, Lowndes Grove has been lovingly preserved by Patrick Properties Hospitality Group, following its meticulous restoration in collaboration with a team of architects, artisans, landscape and interior designers. Alongside the 1786 Estate, the expansive grounds are also home to the more intimate River House.

F E A T U R E D • F R I D A Y // A spring soirée to remember 🌿✨ Rose + Hunter’s May wedding at Lowndes Grove was the kind of day that felt like a breath of fresh air—timeless, joyful, and brimming with beauty in every direction. Set beneath a canopy of soft olive and champagne draping by and aglow with warm, romantic lighting from Lit Charleston , their celebration was the perfect balance of effortless charm and elevated style. Guests were welcomed into a lush garden-inspired ceremony overlooking the Ashley River, with florals by Gibbs Floral Studio that flowed as naturally as the setting—organic, full, and impossibly romantic. Beneath the clear-top tent, neutral linens and white florals accented by greenery set the tone for a dinner that felt intimate, inviting, and completely stunning. From their walk down the aisle to their sparkler-lit exit, Rose + Hunter’s day was filled with meaningful moments and thoughtful details—all seamlessly brought together by Hill & Co. Creative. And thanks to the always-talented Aaron and Jillian Photography, every last one of them is beautifully preserved.
