We are sad to share the news of the passing of Joseph Martin, who taught in the music department from 1969-2011. While he was with us, he developed the Eastern Music Camps, taught saxophone and oboe, taught a variety of music courses, directed bands, and served as the Assistant Department Chair. He was a very important part of the developing music department at EIU and will always be remembered fondly. Our thoughts are with the Martin family and friends during this difficult time.
