Today’s workshop venue was nothing short of amazing! While hosting our STEM enrichment session, we had the opportunity to learn how to count in Hebrew and gain insight into the beautiful Jewish traditions. ✨

One of the best parts about bringing science workshops to schools and organizations that celebrate different cultures and nationalities is that the learning goes both ways. We love creating hands-on experiences while also experiencing and appreciating the communities we serve. 🌎🔬

🚦 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝗿! 🚦

Did you know one man’s inventions help keep us safe every day? Meet Garrett Morgan, an amazing inventor and entrepreneur from the early 1900s!

🧠 What did he invent?
1. 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙡 🚦
🔹 Garrett patented an early version of the three-position traffic light in 1923, adding a “warning” signal between stop and go.
🔹 Today, traffic lights all over the world still use the idea he invented to keep drivers, bikers, and pedestrians safe!

2. 𝙂𝙖𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙠 🥽
🔹 He also created a safety hood and smoke protection device, which was a type of gas mask.
🔹 His design was used to save workers and firefighters from smoke and toxic fumes. Modern gas masks and firefighter gear are built on the same principle!

Garrett Morgan didn’t just invent – 𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙨 and made the world safer. His story reminds us that 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 + 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 that help millions of people every day.
