I took this picture a few days ago in the evening as I was leaving the Chapel. As I saw it as a subtle reminder that the Lord is forever present even when I don’t always feel his presence. Today it reminds me of Proverbs 16:9, We can make our plans but the Lord determines our steps.

My boys asked me what I wanted for Mother’s Day this year, and my answer was simple… physical labor. 😂🤍

So together, we spent time working on new upgrades at the chapel, like installing a charming pea gravel walkway from the fellowship hall to the front entrance of the chapel along with a new garden bed to continue beautifying the grounds.

This new pathway will create a cleaner and easier transition, especially during wet weather or muddy grass, while also adding to the timeless charm and romantic feel of the property.

Truthfully, there’s something incredibly special about building something meaningful alongside your children. We are deeply honored to steward this historic and sacred space, preserving its beauty while thoughtfully preparing it for the many who come to worship or who will create memories here for generations to come.

Shout out to Jefferson Rentals LLC, renting the sod cutter made this project so much more manageable. 10 out of 10 recommend.
