Thanks to all that stopped in for our Charles City Chamber & Tourism visit for 18 years of The Rustic Corner & Working Women Inc 20th anniversary! Great to have Peg & Scott back in the house too!

The Chamber Ambassadors dropped in at the now former Rustic Corner location in downtown Charles City Wednesday to thank owner Tami Vetter for all of her many contributions to the local business community during her store's 18-year run. Vetter retired and closed The Rustic Corner on March 14th. She has been a long-time driving force in Charles City's retail scene and actively involved in the past with both the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Charles City programs. For years The Rustic Corner has been one of Charles City's premiere retail destinations.

The Ambassadors also commemorated the 20th anniversary of Vetter's other business venture, Working Women, Inc. Vetter does logistics and registration licensing for pet food companies, and she plans to continue with that on a part-time basis.

She said the building at 413 North Main St. will become available for rent or sale. This Saturday, it will host a Pop-Up Hat Bar for ChickFest. Vetter and Robin Macomber will also start a new venture called Artful Affairs Collective to help people organize off-site events and social creative activities. Today was the end of The Rustic Corner era!
Thank you to our family of friends and customers! We’ve enjoyed all of the years serving you and the city of Charles City!

I’d like to thank all of the staff have made the last 17 years a shopping (and working) experience everyone will miss!

Remember there is still great shopping in Charles City, and make sure you make your way to visit all of them for ChickFest the first Saturday of every April!
