SlugFest

SlugFest Annual Philanthropic Music Festival SlugFest is an annual SigEp philanthropy event that has been a tradition at UNC since 1982. www.evecarsonscholarship.unc.edu

Begun as a 24-hour softball tournament, the event has evolved into an all-day beach concert at the Sigma Phi Epsilon house. It is our intent to bring together almost 1000 of our fellow students and provide them with an entertaining and memorable experience as the school year comes to a close. SlugFest is a wonderful opportunity for students and their friends to enjoy food, live music, and beautifu

l weather while helping raise money for a worthy cause. This year, we have chosen to support the Eve Carson Scholarship. The scholarship was established in 2008 as a memorial to former UNC Student Body President Eve Carson. As her living legacy, the scholarship fulfills the vision for a student-run merit scholarship Eve included in her platform.The scholarship is awarded to two outstanding juniors each year to fund a transformative summer experience and half the cost of their senior year.
