Some people come into your life because of a business… and somehow, they become family. 🤍

Debbie and her sweet hubby have stayed at Gracemore Estate more times than I can count.

What started as guests staying at our family-owned venue became a friendship full of the little moments that I will never forget.

Every single time they stayed, I knew I would get the call… “Ashlie, can you come help us get the TV switched over?” 😂 I only subscribed to YouTube TV because he wanted his favorite channels!

He loved golf and we spent many conversations talking about golf! He would “kidnap” Miguel, our little wiener dog, and spend his time loving on him. 🐾

Debbie and her husband would bring me Amish beets and this peanut butter sauce that my girls could absolutely devour. Eleanor would draw him pictures and paint special paintings to send home with them.

Somewhere along the way, this man became like a grandpa to my girls.

And the amazing thing is… we never would have met if it weren’t for Gracemore Estate!

That is why I will never look at this place as just a business. Yes, we host weddings. Yes, we rent rooms.

But more importantly, we get to know people. We get to know their families. We share meals, laughs, stories, celebrations, and sometimes the moments that make saying goodbye so incredibly hard.

Gracemore brought Debbie and her sweet husband into our lives. And because of that, they will forever be part of our Gracemore story. 🤍

Some guests check in… and somehow, they become family.

Today, we lowered our flag to half-staff. 🇺🇸

Not because it is required, but because sometimes respect is something you choose to show.

We are mourning the loss of a Tennessee legend, a woman whose music, heart, and story reached generations far beyond our state.

At Gracemore Estate, we believe in honoring love stories, legacies, and the people who leave this world a little better than they found it.

So today, our flag flies at half-staff in remembrance. ❤️

Some people leave behind songs.
Some leave behind memories.
And some leave behind a legacy that becomes part of who we are.

Here at Gracemore Estate, we have the privilege of watching beautiful love stories begin.

Today, Tennessee mourns the woman who reminded the world what enduring love looks like. Dolly fell in love with Carl at 18, and for nearly 60 years, he remained the quiet star of her life story.

She once said, “Like all great love stories, they never end.”

Today, we find comfort in believing that Dolly and Carl’s story has entered its sweetest chapter yet—together again, in the arms of Jesus.

Rest peacefully, Dolly. Tennessee will always love you. 🤍

Today, Tennessee lost a legend. 💔🦋

Dolly Parton gave the world so many things—her music, her kindness, her generosity, her laughter—but maybe one of the most beautiful things she gave us was a love story.

A love story that lasted a lifetime. ❤️

So today, I choose to imagine Dolly walking through those pearly gates and running straight into the arms of her husband, Carl.

After a lifetime of loving, laughing, and walking through life together… what a beautiful reunion that must be. 🤍

And maybe that’s why this one hits a little differently here at Gracemore Estate.

Our entire world is built around love stories.

The promises. The vows. The first dances. The happy tears. The families coming together. The “forever” that starts right here.

Dolly reminded us that the greatest stories aren’t always perfect—they’re real. They’re built on love, laughter, commitment, and choosing each other over and over again.

As a 6th-generation Tennessean, I’m proud to say we’ll keep that Tennessee spirit alive right here at Gracemore Estate.

Love stories will always have a home here. ❤️
