Rich, textual greenery is sometimes all you need to make a statement.
I love playing with different natural elements to make one cohesive vision, whether that includes a lot of flowers or not.

Here, we designed with a variety of local foliage, curly willow branches to give you negative space, and dried hydrangeas harvested locally from a flower farm. And just a touch of springtime tulips for contrast!

This weekend we celebrated C+B with ceremony florals that were carefully crafted. We wanted a specific, garden look that felt lush and full without appearing too dense. I think we nailed it!

We went through a few iterations of this design, and I was overjoyed when it all came to life and I saw these stunning photos by come into my inbox a few days later.

One of my favorite types of design is the unexpected pop of flowers that isn’t a part of the main ceremony or reception.

With this staircase tucked into the , we were able to create a magical portrait moment that highlighted the gorgeous bride and the venue’s antique staircase.

“Rooted and Redefined” for the Upchurch Open House this past weekend.
Along with .weddings, we set out to design something that felt inspired by nature with unexpected, local floral elements.

I simply loved designing this gorgeous ceremony arch because it showcased so many different textures of foliage as the main character rather than the flowers. Most of the foliage and blooms were sourced locally from our flower farm friends at , and the hydrangeas were harvested this past winter from our flower farm property, and kept safe until their shining moment this past weekend.

It’s so important, more now than ever, to support our local flower farmers by designing with their blooms in our arrangements. I can’t wait to keep showing you all more designs throughout the season that “root” ourselves in the North Carolina flower community.

Let’s talk about one of my favorite types of design- ⭐️COLORBLOCKING⭐️

Colorblocking is the art of letting each type of flower showcase its beauty separately from one another by clustering them together. By using this method, you have a more pleasing design to eye for your guests to take in.

Color and flower blocking has always been one of my more signature styles in floral design, and I’m excited that it’s becoming more popular in this area for 2025.

Back when I began floral design over a decade ago, this was a big no-no. Flowers had to be placed in a more circular, mixed way. It’s fun to break the rules and design in a way that makes more sense to you.
