20 years ago, just two months before my 18th birthday, I created florals for my very first wedding. Working with flowers was what I’d wanted since I was 11 years old. Flowers are a never-disappointing, pure joy of my life. They always will be.

This year will be my final year full time in the event floral business. I will complete the contracts I have in place, and will take on a few contracts a year from here on out, as I complete my education for a career change. This decision has been a long time coming and holds many factors, especially my physical health. The tariffs that will affect the cut flower markets are going to cripple my industry this year, so it just seemed the time for a transition.

I certainly don’t want to exit the wedding industry for good, as I’ve made such wonderful friends and formed bonds with some incredible coordinators, vendors and other florists and I am beyond happy to assist when I’m needed and available. There are too many of you to thank for making these some of the best years of my life.

When J&J announced their engagement, I quietly waited on the edge of my seat for that email… “You have a customer inquiry.”

I was so happy to make this gorgeous minimalist vision come to life. More snaps to come, but this altar is one of my favorite I’ve ever done.

My sweet clients and friends,

As some may know, I had major surgery in early December. The initial recovery seemed too good to be true- and it was. I’ve since suffered major complications and infection, and here we are six weeks later with healthy tissue and no sign of infection, and tomorrow I will finally go in for revision surgery.

I am typically highly responsive and punctual, and this situation has essentially taken over my life. I have a few preservations that I would usually have had returned a few weeks ago, a couple emails that are awaiting revised proposals, and I am incredibly grateful for the patience and grace I’ve received from my amazing clients. My deepest apologies for any delays, I hope to be caught up in the next couple weeks 💙
