I’m proud to share that I graduated last week from the Goldman Sachs One Million Black Women: Black in Business program - Cohort 8!

This experience stretched my thinking, strengthened my business, and gave me clearer direction as I step into the next chapter of Sparkes Event Solutions. It challenged me to fully own my role as CEO — not just as a founder and operator, but as a business leader who makes decisions with clarity, confidence, and data.
One of my biggest takeaways is simple but transformative: know your numbers backwards and forwards, and be confident standing in them. When you truly understand your financials, you lead differently. You price with intention, plan with discipline, and build a business that is positioned to scale sustainably.
I’m deeply grateful to the Goldman Sachs team, our instructors, advisors, and mentors for the guidance and investment they poured into us, and for the remarkable women in this cohort who showed up prepared, pushed hard, and inspired me every single week.
I’m excited to continue this journey as part of the Goldman Sachs alumni community and to contribute back to the program as a growing, successful business owner and leader.

🌟 Honored to Be Part of an Incredible Community! 🌟

This morning, I was invited to and attended the Loudoun School Business Partnership Breakfast at the National Conference Center, where we were recognized with many other local and global businesses for our work mentoring and supporting LCPS students.

With 750+ attendees, including local business leaders, school board members, and Loudoun County Supervisors, the event was a powerful reminder of how strong partnerships make a lasting impact. Over the past three years, we’ve worked with 100+ students, helping them earn their community service hours and gain real-world experience.

Thank you to and for this recognition and for bringing together such an inspiring group of leaders. Looking forward to continuing this important work!

As a minority woman-owned business, this recognition is especially meaningful. It’s a testament to the hard work, resilience, and passion that my team and I put into every event we create.
