It’s not goodbye—it’s see you next year!

VWE&C is my baby—but it’s not my only responsibility. Between my husband and I we have 5 jobs, volunteer with 4 organizations, and are new homeowners trying to navigate non-apartment/rental living…we are TIRED! We are very blessed to enjoy our jobs and organizations and never take any of those roles lightly, but we’re also blessed to not have to rely on secondary income. I’m taking the rest of 2026 to focus on rest, relaxation, and planning for 2027.

2027 Couples—nothing for you will change! You’ll still be hearing from me and getting my many texts and emails! 😘🖤

I’ll just be a little inactive for everyone else…I’ll still be supporting the industry and my vendor friends online—it’ll just be a little quieter and less frequent over here. Absence makes the heart grow fonder right??!

Money, Money, Money!

Personally, I LOVE a Dollar Dance! It gives you the chance to have a quick dance with some of your guests that you probably wouldn’t have danced with individually otherwise! Matt & Z went old school and had their guests pin their $$ on them!

What are your thoughts on a Dollar Dance? Did you have one? Do you want one? When you’re invited to a wedding as a guest do you bring cash? I do!

Hiya! Sending out a reintroduction for those who are new here!

I’m Melannie—owner and operator of VW Events & Company! I specialize in Wedding Coordination & Planning, Ceremony Officianting, Event Decor Set Up/Tear Down, Proposal & Engagement Planning and Ex*****on!

In my non-event life I work in Healthcare, volunteer with my local American Legion Auxiliary and my community Fire Department EMS, am a wife of *almost* 3 years, and a fur baby Mom to my two kitty cats!

In other words—I am a busy bee Type A who thrives off of organization and chaos!

I love helping couples plan and execute their special day—it’s a day ENTIRELY about you and I strive to take the logistic load off your plate, while making sure that you don’t feel too stressed during the planning!
