State Farm Center comes alive after dark, with its great white dome glowing in the night sky. The brightness within the building is symbolic of the superstars who perform under its unique roof. State Farm Center, formally known as the University of Illinois Assembly Hall, opened on March 2, 1963, and continues to attract attention for its design and construction. At four hundred feet across, it was once one of only two-edge supported domes in the world. The roof is supported by 614 miles of one-quarter inch steel wire wrapped at the base of the dome under intensive pressure. From rock shows to Broadway, family shows to Fighting Illini basketball, State Farm Center has hosted the top names in show business as well as numerous University and community events.

🐾 Backstage Buddies is making headlines! 🐶❤️

A little puppy love can go a long way!

A huge THANK YOU to our friends at the Champaign County Humane Society for partnering with us to bring Backstage Buddies to life! Together, we're bringing a little extra joy to visiting artists and touring crews, like Sugarland last night, at State Farm Center while giving some pretty amazing shelter pups their moment in the spotlight! 🐕🎶

And the best part? These four-legged backstage VIPs are looking for their forever homes!

If you've got room in your heart and home for a new best friend, we encourage you to check out the Champaign County Humane Society and meet some incredible adoptable pets, just like Welky! 🏡❤️

Special thanks to WCIA 3 for sharing our story and helping spread the word about this pawsome partnership!
