This wedding was filled with so many fun, thoughtful details that everywhere you looked there was something to smile about. The wedding was held on the groom’s family farm, with the ceremony under a beautiful white tent. There were baby calves with a sign that read, “Love You Till the Cows Come Home,” a chocolate milk “champagne” tower, cotton candy, live guest paintings and a Photo Booth, a hayride, and the prettiest pastel flowers everywhere. As evening approached, guests were looking forward to dancing under the bistro lights on the checkered dance floor beneath the open sky.
Then, just as the ceremony ended, the weather took a dramatic turn. The wind and rain were intense, and everyone made a run for the barn as the reception tent threatened to take flight. Thankfully everyone was safe, and before long people were laughing about what they started calling “Hurricane Hissong.”
The best part? The bride and groom never let it steal an ounce of joy from their day. Once the storm passed, everyone came back together, the reception carried on, and the dance floor was just as full as it would have been if the weather had been perfect from the start.
Honestly, I think moments like these are what make a wedding unforgettable. Years from now, people probably won’t remember every little decoration, but they’ll remember the laughter, the adventure, and the way these two handled an unexpected twist with so much joy.
It was such a privilege to be a small part of this incredible day. 🤍
