Eastwards currently has copies of the amazing, heirloom book by Paul Horsted for sale. 'South Dakota: Yesterday & Today' has old photos of areas of our incredible state and places beside them the same photo from today - all in a large, glossy layout that can be examined for hours! It can also be looked at for a few minutes whenever you think of an area that you loved visiting once upon a time - or tomorrow?! 'South Dakota: Yesterday & Today' is a glorious walk across the plains and through the Black Hills.

The watercolor prints by David Harding have been very popular. His ability to capture the spirit of the animals he chooses for his compositions has made David one of our most often sold artists. David goes to Custer Park to study his models, although the elephants and jackalope were likely from his extensive imagination!
We are VERY pleased to be able to announce that David has now brought in four of his original watercolors - and his gorgeous gift cards. The extensive selection of cards includes many images we have not gotten in yet as prints.

We've got a new sculpture in by DH Brown, and it requires a look!! These exquisite, detailed, coffee-table sized sculptures do need to be seen in person - and when they are, people fall in love! Recently returned from a triumphant show, only two of the sculptures Eastwards had on display were still available. The rest sold FAST!! Stop in now to see those two, and the new, delightfully whimsical ducklings. On their marble base.

We still have a gorgeous collection of paintings by Linda Durdle, and you will want to come see these - and see if you need to bring one in to your house, your office or as a gift to a dear friend!! Her paintings cover a variety of subjects and use a variety of media, showing her skill and mastery of technique. These paintings are also full of color, hope and inspiration, and you will enjoy coming by to wallow in these wonderful images!

For a few more weeks, we have several pieces by popular woodworker Darwin Punt. His coasters - each hand-crafted and individually sized - sell out frequently. His trays are equally well-made and highlight the woods he uses. They are a wonderful mix of woods in an artistic and creative pattern that pleases the eyes and builds interesting decorations.
Stop in to see the woodworking by Darwin, before he takes these pieces to the art and craft shows of the Fall!!

We have a NEW painting by Jae Lee Art - and you do want to come in and see this!! Jae is known for her abstract images and this one is abstract as well but very geometric, with vivid reds and strong details. We hope to get more works by this popular painter, because we keep selling away her pieces. Come by as soon as you can before this one gets snatched up too!!

Eastwards Art Gallery still has pieces from our first South Dakotan artist shown in our space! Cheryl Paulson of Prairie Pottery brought in her pots and pinch pots four years ago when the Gallery began, and they were instantly popular. Stop in to see these terrific pieces, but also paintings by Cheryl and the first piece she ever made. These art works are very reasonably priced for those who want to take some of Mrs. Paulson's art home. Cheryl taught so many people in our area to express themselves through art, and this is a chance to enjoy her art in person!!

Stop by Eastwards Gallery to see all of the art we have on display, but you can also ask Adrian to let you see his NEW show in the Art Annex at State Theatre, four doors away. Because it is the quiet season, he can walk down and open up the Annex to show you his amazing and extensive 'Faith And Departed' photo show. He has put up on display his pictures of cemeteries and churches throughout Ireland. Most of the photos, in black-and-white, share images from historic stones and sacred structures.

The Gallery will be open today - at our Art Annex at State Theatre of Chamberlain!
Our curator, Adrian Laney, will be hanging his NEW SHOW of images (the show isn't hung yet, so the images aren't available - but this post includes some of his great images.) Stop by State Theatre of Chamberlain (108 S Main Street - four doors north of the Gallery) and check out Adrian's framed and mounted photos and, if he can, he may be able to open the Gallery and show off more of our artists and their art!
