It's been a long time coming, but... after 13 years, Total Imagination Events is now Blank Space Events + Production. We are thrilled to be stepping into this new era, one that's been years in the making and worth every second of the wait.
This process has led us to revisit the events we've created over the past decade, and we've loved reliving all of the moments we've spent bringing other people's visions to life.
To mark this milestone, we have a couple of things to say:
To our clients: You've trusted us with your most important moments. You've invited us into your homes, your lives, your relationships, your families. You've trusted us with your hopes and visions, and I don't take that lightly. There is no satisfaction greater to a planner than seeing your face when experiencing this moment we've created for you. It's our why. YOU'RE our why.
To our vendors: There is no THANK YOU big enough to extend to all of the vendors, friendors, creative partners, event producers, and every set of hands that touches every level of our clients' events. This industry would be nothing without the thousands of helping hands that unpack rentals, pass hors d'oeuvres, hang drape, adjust lighting, hold a microphone, build a stage, process florals, write BEOs, distribute power drops, fabricate backdrops, set chairs, steam linens, print stationery, mop floors, hang from ceilings, pour champagne, create culinary experiences, and write rental orders. The ones who leave their homes and families on every weekend, every holiday, and every celebration in between, while the rest of the world enjoys its downtime. You are up at dawn and you strike into the wee hours of the morning. The beauty of this business would not be possible without you.
To my "assistants," can I call you my "angels"? The consistent people who have supported our team over the years, so many all-stars I couldn't possibly name them all. You always had my back. Always stepping up. Always buying into the vision. Taking the hits, the long days, the challenging events, and never once letting it show. Our team at Blank Space Events is a collection of 13 years of the very best people I've ever worked beside. Without this team, there is no Blank Space, there's no me. You are the ones who made all of this real.
To my family: Growing and sustaining an events business over the last decade is no small task, and you've shown up with support and encouragement through every bit of it. Through the highs, the lows, and everything in between, you never stopped cheering me on. I wouldn't be standing at this milestone without you.
And to my husband, Keith Hemeon: you were employee #2, and you've never once asked what's in it for you. You show up every single time, no complaints, great attitude, always there to catch whatever needs catching. And then you sit back and watch it all come together in awe, like you didn't just help make it happen. There's no one I'd rather do this life with. I couldn't have asked for a better partner, in business or in everything else.
And to this job: I've loved you and you've loved me. We've hated each other. We've struggled, we've soared, we've cried, we've laughed, we've planned, we've schemed, we've dreamed, and we've weathered it all. And we still come back to one another. We are together for life. Thank you.
The beauty of telling your stories is the reason we do what we do. Bringing a story to life is the truest form of being a storyteller, through sight, smell, sound, taste, feeling, and emotion. That's the magic. That's the whole thing.
