Featured Blooms of the Day!!!

The cosmos are officially in full bloom, bringing their delicate, airy movement to the gardens, while the dahlias are finally beginning to show off in full color.

Today, two of our favorites are stealing the spotlight — Café au Lait, with its dreamy layers of soft, creamy blush, and Penhill Watermelon, unfolding in the most beautiful shades of warm pink and coral.

There is something special about this point in the season, when the garden begins to feel abundant and every walk through the rows brings something new into bloom.

The flower gardens are ready for another beautiful weekend at Petal & Plume. 🌸

We’ll be open Saturday & Sunday from 9 AM–1 PM for our $10 all you can fit in your cup bouquets, with premium flowers available for a $1 upcharge per stem.

Come spend a little time among the flowers, choose your favorites, and create a bouquet that’s completely your own.

Today’s Featured Bloom of the Day!!!

Today we’re shining the spotlight on two of our favorite zinnia series at Petal & Plume — the Oklahoma and Queenie series.

There’s just something about watching the colors of these blooms develop as they open and mature. From soft, romantic tones to warm golden hues, every flower seems to have a little personality of its own.

Today’s featured varieties are:

Oklahoma Golden Yellow
Oklahoma Salmon
Oklahoma Pink
Queenie Lime with Blush

These have quickly become some of our favorites in the garden, and we can’t wait for you to see them in person!

As a reminder, Petal & Plume is open this weekend from 9 AM–1 PM for our $10 all you can fit in your cup weekends! Premium flowers are also available with a $1 up-charge.

The garden is full of color right now, and we’d love to see everyone out this weekend. Come fill a cup, wander the flowers, and find a few new favorites of your own.

We may have missed a day or two, so today will be TRIPLE featured blooms of the day!

Introducing 3 new varieties for us this year! So far they have been performing VERY well and we hope to really expand on them next year! They are the following:

Salish Glory Be
Caribbean Sunset

The dahlia field is starting to finally set itself up for some beautiful blooms with our forecast FINALLY not calling for more rain!

Featured Bloom of the Day!!!

Today’s blooms are gorgeous Lisianthus stems! Beautiful colors and textures!! We are open today 9-1 for anyone that wants to add some fresh color in their homes!!!

Well here we go again with another rain storm, but we are determined to be open tomorrow! Please wear shoes appropriate for possible areas of mud. The flower farm is all in mulch, but there are parts of the property if you plan to explore that are as nature intended.

Parking will be in the gravel lot or any area containing grass. The dirt mound (future greenhouse) will be far too muddy for parking and we ask anyone coming in to please avoid parking there.

We can’t wait to see everyone out tomorrow!!! 🌻🌸🌼

*** PS… if anyone has connections with Mother Nature, please communicate that we are quite good on rain at the moment 😂😂

***Opening Update***

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us this week.

Due to the excessive amount of rain and flooding we’ve received, Petal & Plume will no longer be opening tomorrow as planned. Our property has taken on a significant amount of water, leaving portions of the farm muddy, flooded, and covered with debris.

We’ve put so much work into expanding and preparing the farm this season, and we simply don’t want your first visit of the year to be a representation of the property in its current condition. Rather than force an opening and have everyone navigating mud and cleanup, we would much rather take the extra time to get everything back in order and open the way we intended.

We know some of you were planning to visit this weekend, and we truly appreciate your understanding and patience. If there’s a silver lining to all this rain, it’s that the blooms will only be bigger and better heading into next weekend thanks to everything Mother Nature has provided us! So our official grand opening will now be Saturday, August 22nd!

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Petal & Plume!

Featured Bloom of the Day!!!

This bloom is a staple for zinnias, but today has a cameo from one of our all time favorite pollinators!!! This is the Benary’s Giant Orange. Huge burst of color and this guy sure seems to find them worth his time!!
