A huge thank you to Community Presbyterian Church in Celebration for inviting Upon a Dream Photography to capture their Ladies Tea Party! It was such a joy spending the afternoon with such an amazing group of women and capturing all these special moments.

If you have a child between 7 and 13 years old, read this… because this might hit home. 🤍

After photographing families for more than a decade, I’ve noticed something happen over and over again.

We document EVERYTHING when they’re little. Newborn photos. First birthdays. Toddler years. Preschool. Kindergarten.

And then somewhere around 7 years old… the family photos start to stop.

Sometimes it’s because those early photo sessions felt like WORK. 😂 Little kids running everywhere, someone crying, someone not wanting to smile… I get it.

Other times, I think we convince ourselves that they’re “not changing that much anymore.”

But they are.

Those years between 7 and 13 are HUGE. Their little faces are changing. Their personalities are coming out. They’re finding their interests, their confidence, their style. And before you know it, you’re looking at a teenager wondering where your little kid went.

Those years deserve to be photographed too.

And one day, your kids will have these photos to look back on. They’ll remember that every year, you made capturing your family a priority. And maybe someday, they’ll do the same thing with their own families.

So don’t wait for the “perfect” year.

Celebration, there’s a new magazine in town, and I’m so honored to be part of it! ❤️

Greet Celebration Magazine is a magazine by Celebration residents, for Celebration residents, delivered directly to homes right here in town. September marked its inaugural issue, featuring the Tavern!

Thank you, Greet, for having me photograph the cover and cover story. After calling Celebration home for over 20 years, getting to share my creativity and help tell our community’s stories means so much to me.

This one is so near and dear to my heart. ❤️

This year marked the 10th annual MFamilyFoundation Superhero Race Against Cancer and my third time photographing this special day. I absolutely adore being behind the camera, capturing the smiles, the connections, and the memories you get to keep.

The reason we come together matters so much. M Family Foundation raises awareness and directly supports families facing ovarian cancer and pediatric brain cancers, including DIPG/DMG. Their work helps ease everyday financial burdens so families can focus on their loved ones. Being able to contribute through my photography means so much to me.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, ran, walked, volunteered, donated, and helped make this day possible!

September has already given me so much to be grateful for. 🤍

I’m incredibly honored to have my photography featured on the cover and inside the September issue of Celebration News. Seeing my work on the cover of a magazine for a community that means so much to me is one of those moments I don’t take lightly. I’m just really, really thankful.

And this month gets even sweeter because I’ll also get to be out in the community doing two things I love most — photography and movement. 📸🧘‍♀️

On September 19, I’ll be at the Celebration Health & Wellness Expo with three chances to move with me:

🧘‍♀️ 11:00 AM — Restorative Yoga
🌈 11:30 AM — Kids Yoga
🪑 12:00 PM — Chair Yoga for 50+

Then on Sunday, September 27, I’ll be back behind the camera for the M Family Foundation Superhero Race Against Cancer. 🦸‍♀️📸 I’m so grateful to be photographing this event again, and you can still register and be part of such a special day.

And if you flip through this month’s magazine, you’ll even see the Health & Wellness Expo featured on the same page, which makes this all feel even more full circle. 🤍

I’m just feeling especially thankful for the opportunities, the people who continue to support my work, and this little community that continues to give me so many reasons to love what I do.
