When The Evergreen State College set out to introduce their first-ever fundraising campaign, Forever Green, they wanted to invite their community to be part of something deeply reflective of who they are: a place where learning is self-directed, paths are personalized, and creativity thrives beyond traditional boundaries.
So we leaned in—thoughtfully, creatively, and in true partnership with their vision, their goals, and their budget. Because great storytelling isn’t about scale—it’s about alignment.
An evening at Seattle Art Museum layered with poetry, folk music from alumni, jazz from a local Evergreen graduate, and a powerful closing performance from Git Hoan, the Tsimshian dance group with a long-standing relationship with the college. Emcees and speakers traded talking points for authentic conversation. The result? An experience that felt unmistakably Evergreen.
And the impact speaks volumes:
· 15,835 gifts, grants, and estate commitments
· 4,000+ alumni and friends engaged
· 1,161 first-time donors
Proof that when storytelling, strategy, and identity align, people step forward.
And proof that impactful experiences aren’t reserved for the biggest institutions or the biggest budgets. They’re built through partnership, creativity, and a shared commitment to getting it right.
After all, every good story needs an ARC.
